ReviewNotes Study Guides

How to Run Separate Study Plans for Subjects and Exams

One schedule becomes ambiguous as soon as two goals compete. An exam may be next week while daily review still needs to continue.

ReviewNotes lets each purpose have its own plan. Switching plans changes the calendar, today’s work, target, and included notes together.

Split plans when the purpose changes

Use deadlines and study method, not just subject names. Next week’s maths exam and long-term maths review can deserve different plans.

Start with one plan. Add another only when the priorities in today’s list genuinely conflict.

Choose the notes in each plan

Plan settings decide which notes are placed automatically. Everything is included by default; an excluded note can still be pinned to a date by hand.

Keep everything selected if future notes should join automatically. Narrow the list when an exam range is fixed.

Set a target you can keep

Choose a number of problems or a number of minutes. Counts work for similarly sized sets; time is more honest when short answers and long written work are mixed.

Use an ordinary weekday capacity, not your best possible day.

Balance review and new material

Pick review first, balanced, or new first. Move toward review before an exam or when mistakes accumulate; move toward new material while covering a range for the first time.

Each plan can also bring back problems marked hard even when the last answer was correct.

Choose whether to continue after today

Once the daily goal is met, ReviewNotes marks a clean stopping point. If you choose to continue, it pulls work forward from later days.

The future schedule becomes shorter by the amount you complete early.

AI sets this week’s approach

Give AI an exam date and a short note to group related work and adjust the review balance. It sets a current strategy rather than freezing a permanent timetable.

AI planning may use credits. The ordinary plan still runs from your scope and daily target without it.
